Résumé
Our aim was to assess psychotraumatic effects of mining subsidence which occured in Auboue (Lorraine). In the first phase of this study, we had focused on posttraumatic stress symptoms developed by four groups. The findings indicate that relocated victims have the higher score of PTSD, then non relocated victims, subjects "at risk" and finally group control. The second phase aimed at appraising to what extend the new environment experienced by relocated victims can affect traumatic reactions. Results show that social networks have a mediating effect on the development of PTSD symptoms. Social uprooting experienced by relocated victims seems to play a role in the severity of traumatic reactions. (C) 2008 Societe francaise de psychologie. Publie par Elsevier Masson SAS.
