Advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) includes a wide spectrum of tumors and patients' prognosis after treatment is highly variable. Moreover, therapeutic options based on the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system algorithm are restricted to one systemic therapy.
